MyLengua Class Policies 2009-2010 School Year

  • The school year runs from September 1 – August 31. Annual registration fees apply to each student registering for courses in the current school year. Changes in tuition rates are effective September 1 of each year.
  • Please be on time for your lessons. For group classes, please be respectful of other student’s learning needs (i.e., audio, visual, faster, slower).
  • If your instructor must cancel a class session for any reason, he/she will make an attempt to email all students and follow up with a phone call, using all telephone numbers you have provided. Please provide your instructor with adequate and updated contact information to help our efforts to contact you.
  • In the event of inclement weather, please call any of our offices to find out any class change information such as location changes, cancellations, postponements, etc.
  • MyLengua will offer a make-up session at no additional cost to students for any class that is cancelled by MyLengua administrators or its teaching staff.
  • NO-SHOWS/CANCELLATIONS: CHANGE EFFECTIVE October 15, 2007: Teachers schedules are designed specifically to accommodate the class dates and times originally requested by each student, and require Bi-Lengua to make that class date and time unavailable to other students. No-shows and cancellations result in a financial loss to the teachers and the school. Therefore, effective October 15, 2007, no-shows and cancellations with less than 24 FULL HOURS of notice will result in the forfeit of the time allotted for that scheduled session.
  • In the event that the student must miss a class, the student may elect to make up that class on a day, date, and at a time mutually agreed upon by the student and the instructor. The make-up fee in the amount of the current hourly tuition rate at the time will apply, and payment for the make-up sessions is due prior to the start of the make-up session.

  • Although we review previous lessons each week, it is each student’s responsibility to study and complete work from missed lessons. Please do not hesitate to speak to your instructor.
  • No refunds will be granted within 7 business days of the first scheduled day of class for tuition, textbooks, or materials. Registration fees are non-refundable. There is a $50 fee for ALL returned Checks.
  • CLASS PASSES (groups of private lessons for which tuition is paid for at a discounted rate, in advance instead of “pay-as-you-go”) expire after 30 days of inactivity. In other words, you must schedule and attend a private lesson class session at least one time every 30 days, or your class pass will be considered expired.
  • Please communicate any concerns, problems, or questions with your instructor as they relate to your progress in class, the possibility of missing class, etc.
