About My Lengua

At My Lengua, our goal is to work closely with our clients to determine which service provides the best solution to their business and personal language and cultural needs. We pride ourselves on meeting deadline requirements and building long-lasting, quality relationships with every client we serve.

Founder of Bi-Lengua, Nikki O’Dell, created Bi-Lengua in 2001 after a highly successful experience with a pilot class series called Conversational Spanish for Families in which parents learned Spanish in the same class as their children in grades 1-5. The goal of the class was to facilitate learning and communication among parents and children while facing the fun challenges of learning a foreign language.

In 2003, Nikki later expanded Bi-Lengua’s services to include classes in 10 languages other than Spanish; and in 2004, she expanded its offerings to include translation and interpretation in more than 120 languages. Bi-Lengua transitioned from a mobile business to its first office location in May 2004, and expanded to its second location in Woodbridge, Virginia on August 1, 2008. Plans to expand to a third location in Fredericksburg, Virginia are moving forward and should be complete in March 2009.

Nikki has over 20 years of combined educational, practical and professional experience in the teaching, translating and interpreting arena and is constantly growing her expertise. Her experience and success has been commended and highlighted in numerous nationwide and local media outlets, and she was at the center of a two-year Verizon campaign that recognized her successful efforts to grow Bi-Lengua from a grassroots initiative.

As the services and scope that Bi-Lengua has been able to offer has expanded, Nikki decided that a change was in order for a new name that would really emphasis the multi-cultural and multilingual approach that has become Bi-Lengua. Thus the name My Lengua has been adopted to address the growing list of languages that are now offered.
